The Rise of DAMAC Group

After graduating from the University of Washington, Hussain Sajwani, the chairman, CEO, and founder of the DAMAC Group worked at GASCO, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s subsidiary as a contracts manager. He later started his catering business, supplying catering services to Army and workers in the energy sector. Then, in 2002 when Dubai allowed foreigners to own properties in the Emirates, Mr. Sajwani founded the Damac properties to develop residential houses. Dawan properties sold its first development in six months even before starting construction. Read more: Hussain Sajwani | Forbes

Currently, DAMAC whose headquarters is in Dubai, develops commercial, leisure, and residential properties and invests in real estate projects. Also, he added a hospitality division in the company.

Collaborators of Damac

Damac owner, Hussain Sajwani has worked with other great companies to ensure their properties are at world-class level. Drake & Scull International LLC, a company that provides integrated engineering services and LVMH Mo√ęt Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE’s division that deals with real estate both have been service providers to Damac.

DAMAC Properties have worked with The Trump Organization, a company founded by the current president of the US, Donald Trump. With the Trump Organization, DAMAC has constructed two golf courses one that was opened in February 2017 and another scheduled to open in 2018.

The second golf course was designed by the famous golfer Tiger Woods. Hussain Sajwani family and Donald Trump have a close relationship and he even recognized them as good people in his new year’s eve speech. Hussain Sajwani hoped to continue with their business collaboration with the Trump Organization.

Damac Properties philanthropies

DAMAC Properties contributed AED two million dollars on a cause launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent. The initiative was to help clothe less fortunate children.

Hussain believes that providing children what they need is important because it gives them a head-start in life considering they are the future. The manager of Red Cresent said he was overwhelmed by the contribution that Mr. Sajwani gave and it will go a long way in helping the children.

Other than that, Damac has severally supported initiatives that Sheikh Mohammed has launched to help others better their lives.
